"MAE Professor Jan Kleissl was named a fellow by the American Solar Energy Society (ASES). Kleissl has been very active within ASES in the solar resources area, participated in many conferences, and chaired the 2017 ASES National Conference. Kleissl also promoted ASES' mission of 100% renewable energy by ground-breaking research in forecasting solar energy production, characterizing solar power variability, and developing technological solutions for solar power integration into the electric distribution system. Kleissl will be inducted into the society as a fellow during the June 24 virtual National Solar Conference."
